How to get your book published
This practical workshop will help you get your book published whether you go down the traditional or indie publishing route. It will cover how to get an agent, how you can make money, the editing process, getting a book cover you’ll love, and publicising your book.
Maria McCarthy is the author of two non-fiction books and has run publishing workshops at universities and literature festivals.

Maria McCarthy is an author and journalist, having published several books with Simon and Schuster and has worked with Bristol, Bath, and Oxford Brookes universities and a number of literature festivals including Winchester and Daphne du Maurier to deliver publishing workshops. She has also lectured on publicising your book at the Society of Authors.
As a journalist, Maria writes for a wide range of magazines and newspapers including Good Housekeeping, Saga, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, and Woman’s Weekly. As well as making regular appearances on TV and radio programmes; BBC Breakfast, ITN and Sky News, Good Morning Britain, Radio 4/You and Yours, The Today Programme.
